Moodle quiz: what to check before you start
Time limits, attempts, course access and saved answers: a short checklist before taking a quiz.

Before you start
- Check the closing date, time limit and remaining attempts.
- Make sure you have the right course and quiz.
- Ask whether notes, a calculator or other materials are allowed.
- If access requires enrolment or a password, contact your teacher.
While preparing
List the topics and practise examples from the course. Write down specific questions for your teacher. AI can help explain a topic, but check its answers against your course materials: models can make mistakes.
During and after the attempt
Read each question fully, watch the timer and save your answers. At the end, check unanswered questions and confirm submission. Then check the attempt status in Moodle; grades and correct answers appear only when your teacher allows them.
